Amber Henrie is a passionate media relations professional with considerable experience in arts, culture, entertainment, food, advertising, consumer electronics and technology industries. She has consistently worked in an entrepreneurial environment – coordinating and developing branding and media outreach initiatives with large corporations, emerging start-ups, non-profits and artists. Her media relationships with reporters and bloggers span the globe in Canada, Dubai, London and the U.S.
Amber began her career teaching dance professionally in New York City and became involved with various community and public affairs initiatives in Harlem, before transitioning into a career in public relations. Bringing principles learned in dance training – discipline, tenacity, persistence and attention to details – she worked devotedly in the technology sector for more than 6 years. She won key speaking opportunities and industry awards for her clients as well as exposure in the top print, online and broadcast outlets. She brings technology understanding into her press campaigns for arts organizations, specifically encouraging companies look at simple ways to effectively utilize the benefits of technology.
She holds a B.A. in Dance from Brigham Young University and is a member of the National Association of Professional Women.
Kimberly Giannelli joins In The Lights after an 8 year tenure in the sales and marketing sectors for both Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. and New York City Ballet. Coined as an “New York Arts Manager,” by CBS Eye on New York, Kimberly has produced several large scale dance and opera events and has guided and advised several companies in their quest for exposure and fundraising through marketing and sales consulting. Also a soloist with Tribeca based ballet company, Ballets With A Twist, Kimberly has an extensive knowledge of the needs of both artists and presenters from all perspectives and brings her experiences with her to each client to ensure their voices are heard authentically and dynamically and to encourage brand building, staying power and accountability.
Kimberly holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a concentration in Dance Psychology and sits on the board for Stuart Loungeway’s Terra Firma Dance Theater as well as MorDance. She is also the founder of The Ballerina Ball, an interactive and creative dance concept which introduces young dancers to the great stories of classical ballet and beyond.
Rosanna comes to In The Lights with a theater and film background having trained at the Atlantic Acting School where she was encouraged to write and produce her own work. In 2010 Rosanna was chosen to take part in the New York Foundation for the Arts’ inaugural Artist as Entrepreneur Bootcamp. There she developed a love for finding ways to bring entrepreneurship to the arts.
Rosanna worked with leading communications experts at the Arthur W. Page Society where she managed a recruitment project that resulted in 50% increase in membership. She has developed strong media relationships and media attention for clients in the technology and government sectors. Rosanna also worked on social media and event management for the Museum of Public Relations.
Rosanna has a Corporate Communications MA from Baruch College and is delighted to bring the experience she has gained in communications together with her love for theater, film and the arts!
Cheryl Johnson is a communications and design professional, originally from Woodbridge, Virginia. She brings over 5 years of experience to In The Lights in public relations, social media, event management and graphic design. She has worked with organizations ranging from lifestyle and media, hospitality, PR and real estate. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications – PR and a minor in General Business from Virginia Commonwealth University.
As a former airline employee, Cheryl still enjoys traveling, experiencing the arts in many forms and a good ol’ fashion bottomless brunch. She is a foodie at heart and is better at remembering the locations of her favorite restaurants in the city than she is at reading directions.
Joon Shin is a Co-Founder for In The Lights PR, who brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and capabilities from the worlds of business, technology, and branding. From Fortune 500 to startups, from governance to execution, from strategies to operations, and from entertainment & media to aerospace, Mr. Shin brings a wide breadth and depth of know-how and insight from the different roles and capacities he’s played from his diverse professional portfolio.
Mr. Shin is also a partner for Content of Characters, serves on the Board of Direcors for Dosha Pops, serves on the Board of Advisors for TriplAgent, and has served chief executive roles in other companies, one of which includes IPNETZONE COMMUNICATIONS, a telecommunications infrastructure service provider, that was acquired by United Network Services.
His success is largely driven from his passion in understanding internal and external customers’ points of view, lines of businesses, and requirements in support of their goals and needs, which has resulted in millions of dollars of year-over-year realizations of benefits from business and technological innovations. Mr. Shin completed the Executive Master’s in Technology Management program, a cosponsored program between Penn Engineering and Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
